Frequently asked questions

What is Examitect?
Examitect is Canada's all-in-one ExAC prep platform, built by licensed Architects to help Intern Architects pass the Examination for Architects in Canada (ExAC). It covers all 14 objectives with practice questions, mock exams, study notes, flashcards, mind maps, and a study podcast.
How long do I have access?
You receive access until December 31 of your access year from the date of purchase.
Are the Examitect Questions sufficient to pass the Exam?
Examitect is a preparation tool, not a replacement for studying.
Is Examitect available in French?
Examitect is currently provided in English. You can use your browser's built-in Google Translate feature to automatically translate the website into French. Please note automatic translations may contain errors, especially with technical or building code terminology. Examitect is not liable for any inaccuracies resulting from auto-translation. Always verify important concepts with your primary study resources, and feel free to email us if you need clarification.
Are the ExAC Questions endorsed by the ExAC Committee?
No. Examitect is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with CACB or the ExAC. It is a supplemental preparation tool designed to support your studying.
Are you registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities?
Our course is categorized as "Exam Preparation" according to the ministry and therefore requires no registration.
Can I get a refund after registering?
Due to the digital nature of the product and instant access to the full question bank, all purchases are final and non-refundable. Please review the Terms and Conditions before purchasing.
Can I attempt the exams multiple times?
Yes. You have unlimited attempts. You can retake exams as many times as you want during your access period.
Can I share the questions and answers with my friends?
No. The Examitect question bank, explanations, and reference materials are protected by copyright and are licensed for your personal study only. Sharing, copying, redistributing, posting, or reselling any of the content, whether in screenshots, documents, group chats, or shared drives, is strictly prohibited. If we detect that content has been shared, the account responsible may be suspended without a refund. Please encourage your friends to purchase their own access so they get the full benefit of updates, explanations, and reference links.
Can I share my account login credentials with my friends?
No. Your account is intended for a single user. Sharing login credentials with friends, classmates, or coworkers is a violation of our Terms and Conditions. We monitor for unusual login activity such as logins from multiple locations, devices, or simultaneous sessions. If account sharing is detected, the account may be suspended without a refund. If a friend wants to study with Examitect, they can use our refer-a-friend discount to get their own access.
Can I login to two different devices with the same account?
Yes, you can sign in on more than one device, for example your laptop and your phone, as long as you are the only one using the account. We do monitor for unusual login activity. If we detect signs that an account is being shared between different people, the account may be suspended without a refund. Keeping your login to yourself protects both your access and the integrity of the question bank.
Will the real exam questions appear on Examitect?
No. The real exam questions are confidential. Examitect prepares you for the type of thinking and scenarios, not memorizing specific questions.
Who created the questions?
All questions are written and reviewed by licensed Architects and recent ExAC passers with real-world professional experience in Canada.
Are the questions similar to the real exam?
Yes. The questions are designed to mirror the structure, logic, and difficulty level of the ExAC. They focus on how the exam thinks, not just memorization. Every question includes a detailed explanation and references so you can understand the concept, not just the correct choice.
